At Pediatric Eye Associates and Family Ophthalmology Center, your health, and the health of our community is very important to us. We hope that you are doing well and have not been seriously impacted by the COVID pandemic.

We continue to stand behind our practice mission and remain dedicated to delivering the best quality and continuity of comprehensive eye care to infants, children, and adults, and as we reopen the office to provide patient care, we have implemented more diligent policies and procedures to ensure that we are taking the highest level of precautions.

We are limiting the overlap of patients in the office at the same time and are limiting our scheduling to accommodate only one family at a time in the office. We are utilizing separate waiting rooms for patient intake and for patients being dilated.  We are placing disposable single-use plastic coverings on all hand held equipment and have added a barrier to our ophthalmology equipment to provide necessary distancing during the patient encounters.   We are fumigating the office with commercial grade disinfectant between each family encounter.

We remain committed to providing the continuity of care that is essential to the health of your eyes.   We want to remind you that continued care is essential to the health of your eyes. You may have an eye condition which needs to be monitored closely during the visually developmental years to ensure that additional treatment is not necessary.  Without appropriate follow-up, we are unable to initiate additional treatment or monitor progress that may be necessary for good vision development.  Therefore, We will continue to also offer Telehealth medical visits (as approved by CMS and AHCA**) and Evisits at this time for continuity of care and consultations for most patients if they are unable to be seen in the office.

If you have been financially impacted, and/or have lost their job or health insurance, we are offering financial hardship discounted rates and are waiving certain out of pocket costs to these members. We are also discounting our refraction fee to assist our families and communities through this pandemic.
